At Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, our infant program provides a nurturing, responsive environment where the youngest learners thrive. Grounded in The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos and assessed using Teaching Strategies GOLD®, our approach is designed to support and celebrate each child’s individual growth. 

Curriculum Focus Areas: 

• Social-Emotional Development: Building secure attachments, self-soothing, and beginning to express emotions 

• Physical Development: Strengthening fine and gross motor skills through tummy time, grasping, crawling, and early walking 

• Language Development: Encouraging early communication through songs, sounds, intentional self-talk and parallel talk, and back-and-forth interactions 

• Cognitive Development: Exploring cause-and-effect, object permanence, and early problem-solving through sensory play and exploration 

We conduct formal checkpoint assessments three times per year (fall, winter, spring) using Teaching Strategies GOLD®. Recognizing that each child develops at their own pace, our teachers provide personalized guidance and support to ensure every child is on track to meet or exceed expectations. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving environment where infants feel secure, supported, and encouraged to explore, laying the foundation for confident, capable learners.  

Every checkpoint helps teachers:  

• Monitor each child’s developmental milestones 

• Customize care and learning experiences for every child 

• Communicate progress with families through regular conferences 

• Determine individual interventions and/or remediation strategies if needed
