Our one-year-old program at Fun Time Early Childhood Academy supports the rapid growth and development that takes place during this exciting stage of early childhood. Using The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos and Teaching Strategies GOLD®, we provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a nurturing, engaging environment. 

Curriculum Focus Areas:  

• Social–Emotional: Building trust with caregivers, expressing emotions, developing a sense of self, and beginning simple peer interactions 

• Physical: Strengthening gross motor skills like walking and climbing, and fine motor skills like grasping, stacking, and self-feeding 

• Language: Expanding vocabulary through songs, stories, and conversation; beginning to use simple words or gestures to communicate 

• Cognitive: Exploring through curiosity, learning cause-and-effect, recognizing familiar people and routines, and solving simple problems 

We conduct formal checkpoint assessments three times per year (fall, winter, spring) using Teaching Strategies GOLD®. Recognizing that each child develops at their own pace, our teachers provide personalized guidance and support to ensure every child is on track to meet or exceed expectations. Our goal is to nurture confident, capable learners who feel safe, supported, and excited to grow.   

• Monitor each child’s developmental milestones 

• Individualize instruction and caregiving 

• Communicate progress with families through regular conferences 
• Determine individual interventions and/or remediation strategies if needed
