Our Fun Time Academy Three Year Old Program: Building Confidence and Creativity

Our three-year-old classrooms are full of curiosity, creativity, and growing independence. The day begins with welcoming routines and opportunities for choice-based play, setting the stage for hands-on learning. Children participate in circle time, early literacy and math activities, art, music, and group projects that encourage critical thinking and collaboration.

Outdoor play promotes physical development and social skills, while structured meals and rest time provide balance and comfort. Teachers guide children through daily routines that support emotional regulation, problem-solving, and language development. Each day is thoughtfully designed to nurture a love of learning and prepare children for the next step in their preschool journey.

Fun Time Academy Three Year Old Curriculum

Our three-year-old program at Fun Time Early Childhood Academy nurtures curiosity, independence, and early academic readiness. We combine The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool with the Early Literacy and Learning Model (ELLM) to offer engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that prepare children for Pre-K and beyond.

In the three-year-old classroom, children are empowered to take initiative, express themselves, and actively engage in their learning. With a balance of structured activities and exploratory play, we help each child build the skills and confidence they need for Pre-K success and a lifetime love of learning.

    Curriculum Highlights:

    • The Creative Curriculum® provides a play-based, whole-child approach that supports growth in cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language domains.
    • ELLM (Early Literacy and Learning Model) strengthens early literacy through vocabulary-building, interactive read-alouds, storytelling, and hands-on activities that link language to real-life experiences.

      Developmental Checkpoints & Assessments:

We conduct formal checkpoint assessments three times per year (fall, winter, spring) using Teaching Strategies GOLD®. Recognizing that each child develops at their own pace, our teachers provide personalized guidance and support to ensure every child is on track to meet or exceed expectations. Our goal is to nurture confident, capable learners who feel safe, supported, and excited to grow.

This ongoing observation-based assessment tracks progress in:

      1. Social–Emotional
      2. Physical
      3. Language
      4. Cognitive
      5. Literacy

      • Monitor each child’s developmental milestones
      • Individualize instruction and caregiving
      • Communicate progress with families through regular conferences
      • Determine individual interventions and/or remediation strategies if needed
